This is by far the best nursing pad I have tried yet. After sampling all the major brands, this was the only one that actually held up to major let-down leaks (it has an absorbent gel inside, unlike the cloth/paper design of other pads), and is very discreet through clothing. All the other brands were very obvious through clothes, and leaked pretty bad after just one let-down. They may be a little more expensive than some brands, but they last so much longer that they are well worth the expense.

i started trying to use these even before i gave birth because i was leaking just a little bit. i quickly found that they are really uncomfortable and itched my skin badly. i thought maybe my breasts were just sensitive because of the pregnancy. but i used them again once i had my son and they remain very, very itchy! the outer edges of the pad are plastic and they rub against your skin–can’t stand them! i’m still on the lookout for a brand that’s considerably better, but so far the best disposable i’ve tried is avent (better than medela and lansinoh).
UPDATE: After trying many other brands, including the washable variety, I came back to these pads and found that they were actually the best out there. Many other brands are not cupped/pleated, so they just jut out to the sides, resulting in a bumpy appearance. These were the most discreet, it turned out, and over time, my breasts became less sensitive to the scratchiness of the plastic edges, to the point where I didn’t even feel it anymore. I also used washable pads sometimes, which have the benefits of being environment-friendly and soft, although probably among the least discreet. If Amazon would let me, I would change the number of stars I gave this product to 3.

I’m sure these work great, but I have never had to use breast pads, and I’ve nursed my baby for 18 months now (never used a drop of formula). My mom got a LOT of these for me, because when she nursed her babies, she always had milk flowing when and where she didn’t want it to. I have never had problems with leaking milk, so I’ve never used the pads for that. I did, however, have to use them for a few weeks when I had a nipple yeast infection (VERY painful). I used the pads after I had to apply a very sticky nystatin liquid to my nipples. Without the pads, my bra would have gotten very sticky and messy very quickly. Anyway, don’t just assume that you will need these. If you want to buy them anyway, keep the receipt to return them just in case you’re not a milk-leaker!

I hated these pads and had to return them. They made my boobies itch like crazy and the adhesive would never keep the pad in place. I found myself adjusting them several times an hour as they shifted around. I like the Medela washable cotton pads much better. They are a little more expensive but are reusable. They don’t make my boobies itch either!

These pads are very absorbent and quite discreet under clothing. I would probably prefer these over the Lansinoh pads if they didn’t produce a weird chemical smell when milk touches them.
